Ghazal Alhamwi is a multidisciplinary artist hailing from Syria. With a wide range of talents that encompass video and visual installations. Ghazal’s artistic journey began in the world of modern dance before she embarked on a captivating multidisciplinary approach.
In 2015, Ghazal relocated to Germany,In 2019, her unwavering passion for art led her to Leipzig University of Visual Arts (HGB).
Deeply connected to the SWANA region (Southwest Asia and North Africa), having grown up and worked as an artist in Syria, she possesses a profound understanding of the cultural, social, and political challenges faced by the Arab community. With her experience and multidisciplinary approach, Ghazal brings a unique perspective to these issues, provoking thought and fostering dialogue through her art.
