DE: Die ägyptische interdisziplinäre kulturpolitische Künstlerin und Solo-Harfenistin Neam Tarek ist Gründerin und künstlerische Leiterin des “Forte e.V. Leipzig” sowie seit 2021 gewähltes Mitglied des Leipziger Migrantenbeirats. Neam Tarek hat bereits verschiedene Kunsthochschulen besucht, darunter die Kunstuniversität Graz (KUG), die Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin und die Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Mendelssohn bartholdy” in Leipzig, an der sie 2019 ihren Abschluss erworben hat. Neben ihrer feinen klassischen Technik und ihrem Repertoire arbeitet Neam Tarek vor allem an zeitgenössischen interdisziplinären Musik- und Kunstformaten und versucht, erweiterte performative Musikformate neu zu erforschen, indem sie den interdisziplinären Kontext als Medium für aktuelle kulturpolitische und gesellschaftliche Debatten nutzt.

EN: The Egyptian interdisciplinary cultural-political artist and solo harpist Neam Tarek is the founder and artistic director of the “Forte e.V. Leipzig, as well as an elected member of the Leipzig Migrants Advisory Council since 2021. Neam Tarek has been visiting various art schools such as Graz university of performing arts (KUG), Hanns Eisler University of music Berlin and university of music and Theater Mendelssohn bartholdy in leipzig of which she graduated in 2019. In addition to her fine classical technique and her repertoire, Neam Tarek is particularly working on contemporary interdisciplinary music and art formats and has been trying to re-explore expanded performative music formats by using the interdisciplinary context as a medium for current cultural-political and social debates.
